The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Glee, American Idol Wins People’s Choice Awards 2011On Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 Queen Latifah hosted The People’s Choice Awards 2011. The winners were announced in the event held live from the Nokia Theater, L.A. Live (downtown Los Angeles) and broadcast from (9:00 to 11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Most of the winners were present to receive their awards and even fans were allowed the opportunity to win prizes and be part of the show experience. Some of the live performances were by Kid Rock, Selena Gomez and the Scene. Elton John made an appearance by presenting an award.

People's Choice Awards 2011On November 9, 2010 the People’s Choice Awards 2011 Nominees were announced at The London West Hollywood Hotel by Malin Akerman (“27 Dresses,” “Watchmen”), Michael Chiklis, (“No Ordinary Family”), Zachary Levi (“Chuck”), AnnaLynne McCord (“90210”), Jeff Probst (“Survivor”), Audrina Patridge (“The Hills”) along with host Queen Latifah and Executive Producer Mark Burnett.


The winners will be announced via broadcast of People’s Choice Awards 2011 from the Nokia Theater, L.A. Live on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Tickets to the awards show are now available for fans to purchase through Ticketmaster. Voting begins today at www.PeoplesChoice.com for all 44 categories and will end on Dec. 7, 2010, except for “Favorite New TV Drama” and “Favorite New TV Comedy” which will remain open for voting until night of show.

MTV Video Music Awards 2010The 27 th Annual Awards Show Will Broadcast Live From Nokia Theater In Los Angeles On Sunday, September 12 at 9:00PM, (Live ET/Tape Delayed PT) hosted by Chelsea Handler.

MTV announced in a press release August 3, 2010 the Lady Gaga leading the way with an incredible thirteen nominations including “Best Pop Video,” “Best Female Video” and “Best Dance Music Video” for her global chart-topping hit “Bad Romance.” No stranger to breaking records, Gaga can now boast having the most nominations ever in a single VMA as well as being the first female artist nominated for two different videos in the “Video of the Year” category for “Bad Romance” and “Telephone” featuring Beyoncé.

 Lady Gaga Wins MTV Video Music Award

“I’m so honored for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe, to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history. Ironically, I’m even more proud it’s an unlucky number; 13,” said Lady Gaga. “A long time ago the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard, together we changed the rules.  God put me on Earth for 3 reasons: To make loud music, gay videos, and cause a damn raucous. BEYONCÉ & TAYLOR SWIFT Leads The 52ND Annual Grammy Awards Nominees

grammyThe Recording Academy® announced on December 2, 2009 the nominations for the 52nd Annual GRAMMY® Awards.

For the second year, nominations for the annual GRAMMY Awards were announced on primetime television as part of “The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night®.” The one-hour special — was broadcast live on CBS from Club NOKIA at L.A LIVE — featured the announcement of nominations in several categories as well as performances by the Black Eyed Peas, DJ/producer David Guetta, Maxwell, Nick Jonas & The Administration, Sugarland, and host LL COOL J. Presenters included Linkin Park, George Lopez, Katy Perry, Smokey Robinson, Ringo Starr, T-Pain, and Dwight Yoakam.

Beyoncé tops the nominations with 10, Taylor Swift garners eight, and the Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell, and Kanye West each earn six nods. Guetta, Jay-Z and Lady Gaga receive five each; and Colbie Caillat, Michael Giacchino, Kings Of Leon, John Newton, RedOne, Bruce Springsteen, T-Pain, and Keith Urban each have four nominations.

The nominations this year truly reflect the talented community of music makers who represent some of the highest levels of excellence in their respective fields,” said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy.  He concluded “Once again, the GRAMMY Awards process has yielded a well-rounded and diverse group of impressive nominees across multiple genres. Coupled with the second year of our primetime nominations special, which featured stellar performances by past GRAMMY winners and nominees, the road to Music’s Biggest Night and the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards in January is off to an exciting start.”

The 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on “GRAMMY Sunday,” Jan. 31, 2010, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and once again will be broadcast live by CBS from 8 – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

GRAMMY ballots for the final round of voting will be mailed on Dec. 16 to the voting members of The Recording Academy. They are due back to the accounting firm of Deloitte by Jan. 8, 2010, when they will be tabulated and the results kept secret until the telecast.
