Local Celebrity Los Angeles, A singing competition Round 3rd

February 2, 2010 by

localjudgesWhile the Grammys were almost done, Local Celebrity LA/Grammy After Party was starting at Eleven Night Club and Restaurant on 1-31-2010 where singers were ready to compete. First, the contestants were interviewed by Ryan Ray of Wake Up TV, and then by the judges. They all went to sit in their assigned areas and they were called in order to start performing live on stage.
There was something different on the stage, because it got a complete design and makeover. There were 3 small cams and one big professional camera recording the entire production. The stage was dressed up with a dark background so that the street could not be seen.

“Local Celebrity Los Angeles was a huge success at Club Eleven Sunday Eve. The Talent rivaled that of American Idol and the host Ryan Ray was masterful. The Judges Kris Searle, Fawn and Arnold G are supportive and right on the money with their critiques and appraisals of the talent.” said Tom Tangen, producer www.pooltimethemovie.com

Usually two contestants are sent home. but on Sunday night nobody was sent home. Each contestant was given a number from 1 to 10 so the audience at the venue and the online community could vote.

“Kudos to Club Eleven for this wonderful night showcasing local talent and bringing the Gay and Straight community together through music.” Mr. Tangen concluded.

The results will be released on February 7, where 4 contestants will go home. Jael Gadsden, Singer/songwriter featured in the movie “American Dreamz,” performed “All I Need” and
“Baby I’m Feelin You” live at Local Celebrity Los Angeles while the judges were adding their totals and the audience was voting via texting and paper ballots.

Local Celebrity Los Angeles was such an amazing experience, it was like being at a taping of American Idol but only better talent I think. I applaud whoever put together this event. I will try to make it to every one.” said Derick Bell, Celebrity Model.

Turn 21 today!

Per the event organizers, there was a change regarding tonight’s results. They needed to get all the votes via testing, audience paper ballots, and judge’s numbers, and the eliminated contestants will be revealed on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the end of the show.

The event ran according to schedule and about 80 people supported the singers at the venue. This is important because the audience are the ones making the decision as to who will be the next Local Celebrity LA winner.

Laemmle continued to star in small roles until the late 1930s and recently became the subject of two biographies titled after her immortal opening lines. The first is a written biography by Rick Atkins called Among the Rugged Peaks: An Intimate Biography of Carla Laemmle. The second is a film biography, Among The Rugged Peaks, by actor, producer, and director, and interviewer, Tom Tangen, a red carpet favorite who has cataloged over 2,000 celebrity interviews. The film, edited by Emmy-winning Mary DeChambres, will debut in 2010 from Elusive Entertainment [AmongTheRuggedPeaks.com].

In May 2009, Carla Laemmle also co-authored a book with Daniel Kinske, Growing Up With Monsters: My Times at Universal Studios in Rhymes, detailing her experiences growing up on a motion picture studio lot. The instant hit offered an introduction by sci-fi legend Ray Bradbury and illustrations by Jack Davis and Hermann Mejia. Sponsored by Famous Monsters of Filmland and Universal Studios, the VIP private, invitation- only event will begin at 4:30pm with a dinner followed by special events. After-dinner celebrations include Carla Laemmle’s Lifetime Achievement Award Ceremony, a ballet performance organized by Famous Monsters of Filmland’s Robert Aragon, musical performances, a speech from the birthday girl, and concluding with a coffee and birthday cake social hour featuring live piano.
